Adrian Hase

Biography

Adrian Hase joined Prof. Hasler’s group as a postdoctoral researcher in 2020 to coordinate and conduct a follow-up examination for an ongoing cohort study investigating the development and course of depression over time. The project examines risk and protective factors for depressive disorders and other stress-related psychopathology, aiming to identify psychological (e.g., life stress, optimism), biological (e.g., genetic and epigenetic variation), behavioral (e.g., diet, physical activity, decision-making) and sociodemographic variables (e.g., social support, socioeconomic status) that may predict resilience or vulnerability to depression. The study also measures experienced stress during the COVID-19 pandemic, attitudes toward public health measures in the pandemic, and allows for a comparison of mental health and biological variables before and after the pandemic. Previously, Adrian Hase has been trained and working in different fields of psychology (sport, social, organizational, and clinical) as well as psychophysiology.
