Description	Students will be introduced to the concept of holobionts and metaorganisms. They will learn how microbiomes are assembled and structured in different host organisms, including plants, animals and humans. They will discover the functions these microbiomes fulfill for their hosts and how we can leverage on these microbiome-encoded functions to address current challenges, e.g. in plant and human health.
