Responsibles Teachers Description This class is a direct follow up of the basic class SBC.07004. It goes deeper in the Next Generation Sequencing applications methods, like de novo genome and transcriptome assembly & annotation, remapping & variants identification, transcriptomics, ChIPseq & related methods, epigenomics, microbiome & metagenomics, population genomics.
Each week one main concept is detailed, explaining the algorithms of the most important methods with a particular look at their advantages and drawbacks. Each week practical exercises directly connected to the theoretical lectures are used to strengthen the learning by leveraging on simple web tools whenever possible.
