Mireille Rodi

Doctor in Human and Social Sciences / Speech Therapy

Biography

With a PhD in Human and Social Sciences (University of Neuchâtel - Institute of Speech and Language Sciences), a speech therapist diploma, and a teaching diploma, my work lies at the intersection of research, practice, and continuing education. I am particularly interested in students with oral and written language disorders, as well as teaching practices that promote the inclusion of students with special needs.

My research and publications focus on two areas: inclusive education, in order to better understand and support the progress of students with diverse language profiles; and the use of digital technology in learning and remedial French, exploring, for example, the role of educational games and interactive applications (e.g., “L'Orthodyssée des Gram,” https://www.lafamillegram.ch/#/; “Francographe,” in progress) to support and promote metalinguistic development.

In parallel with my research activities, I supervise students in their thesis work and provide supervision and continuing education to teachers and speech therapists. My goal is to link research to practical applications and to provide tools that can be directly useful to professionals in education and speech therapy.
