Biography

Lorena Molnar, PhD, is a criminologist and research fellow at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland). She completed her PhD in Criminology at the University of Lausanne. She currently leads PREVICT-SW (SNF Ambizione, PZ00-1_233471), a four-year project developed in partnership with sex workers and community organisations to better understand and prevent victimisation in sex work. Before and alongside her academic career, she gained several years of experience as a social worker with sex workers in Switzerland and as a volunteer in Spain —practice that continues to inform both her research questions and her focus on producing findings that support practitioners and policy development.
