Biography
Following a Bachelor in Laws with the University of London International Programs (Institute of Law, Jersey) and a Licence d'Anthropologie with the Université Toulouse II Jean Jaurès (both in 2021), I endeavoured the MA "Société Plurielle" at the University of Fribourg, which I graduated in 2025.
My MA thesis, titled "In the Blindspot of Reason - the identity (Geo )politics of the Closet", sought to offer a critical analysis of the various manner the questions of identity, emancipation and resistance came to be formulated on my home Island of Corsica, and this through an ethnographic study of insular queer and nationalistic conceptions of the self. This work drew inspiration from Critical Island Studies (Nissology), Identity Politics, Queer Anthropology and Decolonial Literature, all theoretical bodies which in turn appears as significant interests of mine.
At present, I am endeavouring a PhD under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Agnieszka Joniak-Lüthi. Tho my project is still currently in its conceptual phase, I hope with it to explore my interests in the Southern African Region, Fluvial/Maritime/Oceanic Anthropology, as well as the Anthropology of Systems, Policy Planning and Future Making.
