Biography

Nadia Seiler completed her bachelor's degree in Social Work, Social Policy and Religious Studies at the University of Fribourg and her master's degree in Culture, Politics and Religion in Pluralist Societies and Gender Studies at the Universities of Fribourg/Bern. After working as a junior researcher at the Swiss Centre for Islam and Society, she began working as a graduate assistant in religious studies at the University of Fribourg in 2026. She focuses on perspectives in queer/gender studies and inequality research in relation to religious and spiritual phenomena. She is currently working on her doctoral project on the practices of queer religious and spiritual communities.
