    Description Die Vorlesung behandelt algebraische und geometrische Methoden der algebraischen Zahlentheorie.
    Höhepunkte sind der Fundamentalsatz der Arithmetik für den Ganzheitsring eines algebraischen Zahlkörpers und verschiedene Anwendungen mit Hilfe des Satzes von Minkowski zur Geometrie der Zahlen.
    Training objectives Die Vorlesung ist eine Einführung in die Algebraische Zahlentheorie. Mit Methoden der Algebra und der Geometrie werden zahlentheoretische Ergebnisse wie der Satz von Kummer - ein Spezialfall vom Grossen Fermatschen Satz - hergeleitet. Der leichteren Zugänglichkeit wegen werden "klassische" Wege beschritten, die ohne Galois- und Bewegungstheorie auskommen.
