    Description

    The course aims to provide the students with an introduction to and an overall framework of value creation in the digital age.

    The students will be introduced to the four key drivers of digitalization:

    1. Datafication
    2. Platformization
    3. Concentration of Institutional Power
    4. Distribution of Individual Power

    Based on a thorough understanding of the implications of digitalization on society, the economy and organizations, the students will discuss how organizations turn digital transformation into value creation based on the GEAR framework of digital value creation:

    1. Governing Digital Value Creation
    2. Enabling Digital Value Creation
    3. Amplifying Digital Value Creation
    4. Realizing Digital Value Creation
    Training objectives
    1. Gain thorough understanding on the implication of digitalization on society, the economy and organizations
    2. Identify opportunities and challenges organizations face in creating value out of digital transformation
    3. Define approaches to successful digital value creation in a strategic and structured way
