What happens after you submit your application via MyUnifr?

For the non-European destinations offered through the Asia Exchange programme, the International Relations Office communicates the selection results during the month of December for applications submitted by the end of October. Students are informed whether or not they have been selected for the Asia Exchange programme.
You will receive an email telling you which university was assigned to you within the Asia Exchange programme. You will need to confirm your choice.
Once you have confirmed your choice, your application will be forwarded to Asia Exchange.

Once your application has been forwarded, Asia Exchange will oversee and coordinate the application process on your behalf.

This includes:

Managing your application file
Providing pre-departure support (advice and responses to questions)
Communicating with the host university.
Asia Exchange is also responsible for sending the letter of acceptance and connecting you with the partner university.

Please check your emails regularly throughout the application process, including your spam or junk folder, and make sure to complete all required steps by the relevant deadlines.

Important: The final admission decision is made by the host university. Being nominated for an exchange place by the University of Fribourg does not automatically guarantee admission to the partner institution.
