Responsibles Teachers Description The course will provide both an overview and specific insights in the geomorphological processes in (high altitude) mountain areas. A particular emphasis will be put on glacial, periglacial, hydrological and mass wasting processes. Students are expected to participate actively to the course (readings, practical). One or two 2-day excursions will be organized in the Alps in April/May. Training objectives On successful completion of this course you will be able to:
• identify and characterize the principle geomorphological landforms and their activity in mountain environments (with focus on high altitudes)
• become more familiar with the physical geography of mountain environments
• assess the forthcoming challenges of scientific research and human activities in mountain areas.Comments Block course (23-27.03.2020) with excursion scheduled on 28-29.05.2020 (registration deadline : 27.03.2020)

The participation to the course and the registration for the exam are conditional to the enrollment as BENEFRI or guest students. At the beginning of the semester at latest :
