    Description

A series of talks from diverse internal and external neurobiology scientists, covering interesting topics in basic and clinical neurobiology. You will be introduced first-hand to current research in humans and different model organisms and get insight to various methods and experimental approaches.

The talks will be given in English and will include a basic introduction to the field. After the talk, it is possible to ask the speaker about his/her work and his/her career path.

Students who wish to receive ECTS credits for this course must attend (n-1) of the n seminars during each semester. Please make sure that you sign the official seminar attendance sheet with your personal signature. For an additional missed seminar, a written report, containing a summary of one of the attended seminars must be submitted to anne.vonphilipsborn@unifr.ch. The summary should contain an introduction, description of methods and results, and discussion of the findings by the speaker.

    Training objectives

Learn about different areas of research through presentations by basic and clinical neuroscientists. Acquire technical English terms and gain insight into cutting-edge findings, methods and open questions presented by neuroscientists.

    Comments
