The 14th century is an extraordinary period for art and architecture, not only because of the emergence of a great many new visual languages, but also and above all because of the increasing use of artistic media by very different social, linguistic and cultural groups. The aim of the seminar is to explore this diversity of artistic manifestations in a broad perspective, from the British Isles to the thresholds of Central Asia.

In-depth study of the topics selected and presented during the seminar, through the preparation of an individual paper and an active participation in the discussions.

Preparation of a written work, based on the oral presentation and elaborated on the observations made during the discussion with the teacher and classmates.
