    Description

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

                   1.           Describe the neural mechanisms underlying visual perception, including the pathways and cortical areas involved in processing visual information.

                   2.           Explain how the brain processes socially relevant visual stimuli, such as faces, gaze, and emotional expressions.

                   3.           Critically evaluate experimental methods and neuroimaging techniques (e.g., EEG, fMRI, eye-tracking) used in visual and social neuroscience research.

                   4.           Interpret and critique key findings from empirical studies on topics such as face recognition, theory of mind, and visual attention in social contexts.

                   5.           Apply theoretical frameworks from visual and social neuroscience to understand real-world social behaviors and disorders (e.g., autism, prosopagnosia).
