    Description

Wound healing following injury is a fundamental property of multicellular organisms. The ability to recreate a fully functional copy of the missing organ is a rare phenomenon occurring in certain groups of animals. This course deals with the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying efficient regeneration of body parts in various invertebrates, including hydra, planarians, annelids and ascidians, as well as in vertebrates, such zebrafish, salamanders, lizards and mammalian species
