Biography
I am a political scientist with a background in comparative politics. My research investigates politics in multiethnic or multinational countries. In particular, it focuses on how identity politics shape the political behavior of actors and challenge the political-territorial institutional framework of the state. My research has been published in highly-ranked international journals. I have taught seminars on a wide range of topics such as populism, electoral participation and migration. Currently, I’m a senior researcher at the International Research and Consulting Center at the Institute of Federalism and a lecturer at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland. Before that, I held positions at the University of Basel, University of Bern and University of Konstanz. I gained my PhD at the ETH Zurich.
