Responsibles Teachers Description In the field of the environment, ethical studies generally focus on the justification of environmental measures, but rarely on the ethical problems that arise during their implementation. This lecture presents the method of principalism and analyses the implementation of certain environmental challenges. These change each semester the course is thought.
In the accompanying reading seminar students discuss key texts of environmental ethics and climate justice. The seminar follows the program of the lecture “Principles of Environmental Ethics” and will address selected issues and positions presented in the lecture in more detail.
Fall Semester 2021: This year we focus on the following environmental challenges: A) waste management, B) biodiversity conservation, C) invasive species, D) wildlife conservation. The lecture introduces their main ethical challenges and investigates some ethical conflicts in their governance.
