    Description The thesis is the final work for obtaining the degree of Master of Science in Geography. It presents in a clear language and a convincing line of argumentation the research question(s), hypothesis, methodology, theoretical framework, empirical fieldwork methods (when relevant), results, analysis and discussion. It shows the ability to conceive, conduct and accomplish scientific research autonomously according to international standards.
    Students present their work orally, including the research question(s), the hypothesis, methodology, theoretical framework, empirical fieldwork methods (when relevant), results and analysis. Students have to submit the final version of their thesis at least two weeks before the date of the planned presentation. In case of absence or time constraints of their supervisor, the student will have to submit the thesis even earlier. The presentation is limited to 20 minutes and is followed by 10 minutes of discussion.


    Training objectives On successful completion of the thesis you will be able to:
    - prepare an oral presentation with adapted media ;
    - present complex research results and analysis in limited time ;
    - present in a transparent and reflexive way all steps of scientific research ;
    - describe and present clearly complex processes and scientific analysis ;
    - write according to international scientific standards.
