    Description

    The narrative works of the Old Testament mention multiple treaties and covenants. The term New Covenant is essential for the liturgical celebration of the Lord's Supper in Christianity, gave the New Testament its name and goes back to Jer 31,31. What is the relationship between the New Covenant and the Old Covenant? Are there different or only one covenant of God? The lecture goes the way back from the New Testament via early Judaism to the beginnings of the discourse on the covenant of God in the prophets and in the ancient Near East.

    Am Ende des Semesters findet eine mündliche Prüfung von 15 Minuten Dauer über den Stoff der Vorlesung und der Pflichtlektüre zum Selbststudium statt.​
