    Description

    «Die inzwischen weltweit spürbare ökologisch-soziale Dramatik des Klimawandels ist heute Ausgangspunkt für eine Wiederentdeckung des Wertes der Schöpfung sowie der Herausforderungen von Zukunftsverantwortung und weltweiter Solidarität.» Mit dieser Aussage eröffnen die deutschen Bischöfe ihre «Zehn Thesen zum Klimaschutz» von 2019. Offensichtlich ist, dass mit dem Klimawandel und den ökologischen Herausforderungen insgesamt zentrale und grundlegende ethische Fragen aufgeworfen werden. Die Umweltethik hat sich inzwischen zu einer eigenen Disziplin entwickelt, im «Handbuch Umweltethik» (Stuttgart 2016) erläutern über 50 deutschsprachige Autorinnen und Autoren unterschiedliche Positionen, sie klären Begriffe und diskutieren sozialpolitische Konsequenzen. Das Seminar bietet Einblicke in diese Debatten, indem Grundlagen, Positionen und Handlungsfelder erkundet werden, wobei insbesondere auf theologisch-ethische sowie kirchliche Quellen (allen voran die Enzyklika Laudato si’ von Papst Franziskus) eingegangen wird. 
    Training objectives

    Die Studierenden haben einen Einblick in die Grundbegriffe, Methoden und Positionen der (christlichen) Umweltethik.

    Sie sind zu einer kritischen Textlektüre fähig und in der Lage, Texte aus unterschiedlichen wissenschaftlichen Disziplinen zu verstehen und deren ethische Relevanz einzuordnen. 

    Siehaben ihre Befähigung zum ethischen Argumentieren und Begründen erweitert.

    Sie haben die ethische Herangehensweise an Fragen der Umweltethik kennengelernt und sind in der Lage, dieses methodische Wissen auch auf andere Fragen der christlichen Sozialethik anzuwenden.

    Die Evaluation besteht in der aktiven Teilnahme am Seminar inklusive Vorbereitungslektüre und einem kurzen Referat, zudem im Erstellen einer schriftlichen Arbeit im Umfang von 10−15 Seiten.
