    Description

    Designed in a lecture series format, this interdisciplinary introduction presents various issues and areas of research in digital society and culture. What are the major contemporary challenges in terms of changes in the economy, work, politics, culture, and society as a whole? Who are the major players and their roles, what are the stakes?

    The lecture series features contributors from Fribourg University and external experts. Updates with a detailed schedule follow.

    Week 1 (Sep 19, 2023): Introduction for students only

    Week 2 (Sep 26, 2023): Opening lecture (open to the public) by Dr. Francesca Musiani (Associate Research Professor and Deputy Director of the Centre Internet et Société, CNRS, Paris)

    Week 3-13: 10 public lectures by contributors from Fribourg University and external experts (cf. pdf programme of public lectures), 1 check in for enrolled students only on Oct 24

    Week 14 (Dec 19, 2023): Conclusion for enrolled students only
