Assignment of places

Most destinations have a limited number of places available, which is why an application selection procedure is carried out.

  • For destinations outside Europe, ISEP, PÉÉ and for students of the Faculty of Law, the decisions concerning applications submitted by the end of October are made known in December. You will be informed of the results of the selection procedure by email. If a university has been assigned to you, you must validate that choice.
  • For SEMP destinations (previously Erasmus), the decisions concerning applications submitted in mid-January are made known in March.
  • For Swiss mobility placements, the decisions are made known a fortnight after the application deadline.

On receiving approval, you must register at your host university as an exchange student. We suggest that you find out about how to register at your host university yourself. Some host universities send an email explaining how to register, but this is not the case with all the universities.

Be aware that in many cases, a place will have been assigned to you at the expense of another applicant. We count on you to keep your commitment. After a university place has been assigned to you, cancellation is only possible in cases of force majeure. If you are forced to cancel your mobility placement after a place at a university has been assigned to you, please notify the International Relations Offices as soon as possible so that we can offer the place to an applicant who has not been selected.

The final selection is made by the host university. For this reason, the assignment of places is conditional.
