    Description This seminar consists of analyzing and evaluating a listed Swiss firm and presenting the results in a report according to professional standards. The main steps necessary to conduct the analysis will be explained during a series of seminars. This seminar is supported by the Swiss CFA society that will provide access to a company as well as to mentors from the industry for each group. It is part of a competition with groups from other Swiss Universities.
    Training objectives Student teams write an investment report on a listed company as part of the CFA Research Challenge.
    Condition of access

    This seminar will only take place if a qualified and highly motivated team can be formed to represent the University of Fribourg in the CFA Research Challenge, a competition between Swiss universities. Therefore, participation cannot be guaranteed. We are looking for candidates with a very good academic record, excellent English language and presentation skills, and a willingness to show above-average commitment.

    Participation requires registration until Monday 15 September 2025 at 18:00 by sending the following documents in a single pdf file to Prof. Wallmeier (martin.wallmeier@unifr.ch):

    • a short motivation letter,
    • CV,
    • list of courses and grades obtained in the Master program so far,
    • planned courses for the autumn semester 2025.

    A meeting with all interested students will take place on Wednesday 17 September 2025 at 17:15. Admission decisions will be communicated by Monday 22 September 2025 at the latest.
