    Training objectives The students will know how modern materials can be made and how they are characterized by crystallographic methods. They will understand the problems and advantages of different materials (e.g. single crystals, ionic liquids, liquid crystals) and understand the principles of powder and single crystal x-ray diffraction for the analysis in research and industry.
