    Description The subject is chosen together with the teacher who accompanies the thesis. The thesis work comprises data collection in the field and/or in the laboratory, followed by a detailed analysis and interpretation. A memoir is written, following the standards of a scientific publication. The results are presented in a public lecture of 30 minutes, after which questions must be answered during another 30 minutes.
    Training objectives The student will develop his capacities in all stages of geoscientific research (from field to publication), in scientific analyses, in written scientific formulation as well as in oral presentation of scientific results.
