Register a minor or Change study field

Below, find the procedures to register your minor or change your study field for the major or the minor.

  • Changing your major
    Procedure
    1. Check deadlines and particular conditions
    2. Before making any changes, read the curriculum and, if you have any questions, contact the study advisor of the field you would like to choose.
    3. Switch your study field in your MyUnifr account (Cursus  change  select the Bachelor and new major)
    4. Check that the correct starting semester is selected (generally the fall semester, SA).
    5. If there are already results, check whether these UEs are also part of the new curriculum. In this case, request the transfer of the ECTS on the MyUniFR portal from the old to the new study program.
     
     Master registration

    Registering to the Master is not considered a change in your study field and should not be done on the MyUnifr platform.

  • Registering or changing your minor
    Procedure
    1. Check deadlines and particular conditions
    2. Before making a change, read the curriculum and, if you have any questions, contact the study advisor of the minor you want to select.
    3. Select or switch your minor(s) in your MyUniFR account (Cursus  change  confirm the major  select new minor(s)).
    4. Check that the correct starting semester is selected for the minor.
    5. For a change in minor, if there are results already, check whether these UEs are also part of the new study plan. In this case, request the transfer of the ECTS on the MyUnifr portal from the old to the new study program.

     

    Notes
    • Bachelor Students in Sport and movement sciences must choose a minor for 60 ECTS that can be taught at secondary level II. Potential exceptions must be discussed with the study advisor and a student request must be submitted.
    • The minors of a Bachelor are not optional studies, and should not be added in the "Optional Studies" tab of MyUnifr.
    • Only courses that are taken in addition to the 180 ECTS of the Bachelor or 90/120 ECTS of a Master are considered optional studies.
