Scientific integrity and documentary skills
As a student at the University of Fribourg, you must comply with the University's Directive on Scientific Integrity. When writing papers, it is therefore essential that you cite your sources and contributions to the work correctly.
Since the academic year 2025-2026, the Faculty of Science and Medicine offers two courses on documentary skills and scientific integrity, which are compulsory for most students:
Course 1: Basic orientation and research in the library
Mandatory for: All students starting in a study programme (major, minor) at the Faculty of Science and Medicine, starting AS2025.
Format: Series of short videos available on Moodle, followed by a multiple-choice quiz. Once you have completed this, you will need to sign and submit a scientific integrity form.
When: First semester of study. You must complete the course and submit the form in order to be able to view your exam results on MyUnifr.
