Scientific Core Facilities

The Faculty of Science and Medicine provides access to shared scientific infrastructure through core facilities in order to enable scientists to carry out research at the highest level.


Amira/Avizo Workshop

On November 10-11th the core facilities will hold an internal workshop (staff only) for 3D image processing with Amira/Avizo.

On August 23rd to August 26th the Bioimage Core Facility  will host a demo of Abberiors STEDYCON system.

New Laser Scanning Confocal Microscope

The Leica STELLARIS 8 FALCON is the newest addtion to the Bioimage Core Facility. This new microscope also adds fluorescent life-time imaging (FLIM) to the facilities pallette of techniques.

Imaris ClearView

Imaris ClearView allows to do image restoration (deconvolution) for classic microscopy techniques as a pre-processing step.

The software is installed on the data processing workstations.
