Equipment

The Mouse Behavioral and Metabolic Phenotyping Platform is a core facility at the University of Fribourg composed of two, last generation machines capable of in-depth and multiplexed (16 mice at a time) assessment of numerous physiological and behavioral parameters. The two machines are complimentary as one assesses body composition (EchoMRI - necessary for the normalization of metabolic rate experiments) and the other assesses metabolic rate, feeding behavior, movement and other parameters.

The core facility provides access to the instrumentation, technical expertise and training to perform experiments requiring the technique. We are here to help give you relevant information about the MRI and indirect calorimetry systems, support you in the planning and execution of your experiments, including the establishment and development of methods, data acquisition and data analysis.
