The graduation ceremony for the Master, Doctorate and Habilitation graduates in Science and Medicine of the year 2020 unfortunately had to be cancelled due to COVID. Find some messages from your faculty and departments here.

The 2020 graduates were invited to join the ceremony on 20 May 2022 to celebrate their success with their fellow students (photos).

Prize for the best Master's thesis in Theoretical Sciences
Kevin Shibli

Master of Science in computer science with the master thesis "Coiled Staircase LRC - Robust Locally Repairable Codes for Distributed Archival Storage".

BASF Colors & Effects Switzerland SA prize
Gaetano Geraci

Master of Science in Chemistry with a grade average of 5.45 out of 6.

This prize is awarded by BASF Colors & Effects Switzerland SA to the graduate with the highest average grade in the Master of Science in Chemistry.

Thürler-Reeb Scholarship
Quentin Vonlanthen

Master of Science in geography with the master thesis "Géotopes fribourgeois d’importance cantonale : approche méthodologique et inventaire" completed in 2019.

This scholarship rewards excellent scientific work (Master, Doctorate or publication) in the fields of mathematics, physics or natural sciences whose author is a native of the canton of Fribourg, or has a strong link to the canton of Fribourg.
