Research

Research in Geomorphology Research Group at the University of Fribourg focus on the dynamics and evolution of the mountain permafrost, and the periglacial and geomorphologic environment

Our team is involved in a series of projects that are described in the different dedicated pages. Our approaches include measuring techniques, which are mainly applied in the Swiss Alps.

Our group is also involved in the new IPA Action Group (2018-2020) which is intending to sustain the first steps toward the organization and the management of a network dedicated to rock glacier mapping (inventorying) and monitoring all around the world.
