Biography

As a post-doc researcher and teaching associate, I am involved in several research projects and teaching activities in the fields of journalism research and media literacy. Together with Prof. Manuel Puppis, I manage the TA-Swiss funded research project "Deepfakes in Journalism" and I am a member of the scientific advisory board of the SNF project "Vocational Training Today - Investigating New Learning Cultures in the Workplace" led by the Swiss Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training. Prior to that, I taught two semesters at the Zurich University of Teacher Education PHZH in the area of media education and computer science, led over 100 workshops at Pro Juventute to promote media literacy, worked in an SNF project on new learning cultures at the Swiss Federal Institute of Vocational Education and Training, spent a year researching at the University of Missouri, School of Journalism on the perception, negotiation and implementation of journalistic roles, completed a doctorate at the University of Fribourg as part of the international research project "Journalistic Role Performance around the Globe" and conducted research in a Hasler Foundation-funded research project "Mlearning in Schools" at the PH FHNW.
