Clara Podmore
Biography
Clara Podmore is Senior Lecturer and Head of Unit of Academic Primary Care at the Institute of Family Medicine in Fribourg since 2023.
She trained as a medical doctor and specialized in General Internal Medicine and epidemiology. She qualified as an MD from the University of Lausanne in 2010 and went on to train in epidemiology as a Wellcome Trust Clinical PhD Fellow at the University of Cambridge, UK where she completed an MPhil and PhD on the aetiology of diabetes with Prof Nick Wareham at the MRC Epidemiology Unit.
She did her clinical training at the Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV), Vidy Source, Department of Ambulatory Care and Community Medicine (Unisanté) and was attending physician at the Morges Hospital.
Clara is also a practicing general practitioner/family physician.
