IT Service of the Medicine Section

Med-IT maintains the IT infrastructure of the Department of Medicine. It is the first point of contact within the department for all questions concerning the IT network, data storage, computers and laptops as well as software. Administratively, Med-IT is the interface between the Department of Medicine and the IT Directorate (DIT) of the University of Fribourg. Thus, the Med-IT is the link between teaching and research and the services of the DIT (Informatics Budget, Scientific IT, etc.).

In normal operation, however, responsibilities are divided by building in order to make communication as direct as possible.

Special tasks

For certain tasks, coordination within the Medical Department is necessary, for others we have only one specialist for the entire department. These tasks are each assigned to a single person who acts as a contact person and is responsible for the respective area.
