Section of Medicine

The core tasks of the Section of Medicine are, on the one hand, training doctors and, on the other hand, teaching biomedicine and sports and movement sciences. In the area of medical training, our special focus is on family medicine, which is unique in the whole of Switzerland. The teaching programme is complemented by a broad spectrum of research focuses, ranging from the molecular-biological and the cognitive foundations of life sciences to the cultural and literary-historical dimensions of medicine.
