Clinical skills

The Clinical Skills Centre Uni FR is an essential element for learning and assessing the professional skills of future doctors without compromising patient safety.

Our aim is to provide a realistic and supportive environment for the development of clinical and communication skills. By enhancing their learning through simulation, our students can demonstrate the skills they have acquired during their placements in hospitals and community clinics.

The bilingual standardized patient and instructor programme is a key resource that provides our students with multiple contexts in which to practice their communication skills and manage situations of varying complexity. Since the launch of the Bachelor of Medicine in September 2009, when the programme was created, the 837 students who have participated in the programme have completed more than 107,000 simulation hours. The centre is part of the Medical Education Department of the UniFR.
