Biography
I am a quantitative scientist whose research informs public and population health, aiding in creating evidence-based policies to prevent non-communicable diseases and reduce health inequalities. Using an interdisciplinary approach rooted in life course epidemiology, demography, sociology, and economics, I leverage large-scale linked administrative and cohort data to monitor population health, characterize its determinants, and evaluate health policies. Central to my research and teaching is championing methodological innovation and rigor, while training the next generation of students to conduct impactful epidemiology that informs public health policy. My work involves collaborators at Universities in Canada (Toronto and McGill), in Australia (Melbourne and Sydney), in the UK (Oxford), and in Switzerland (Geneva and Fribourg).
