Dr. Thomas Robinson is head of strategic foresight at the EPFL and co-founder of nextnow.ch.  He did his PhD at the University of Edinburgh in Social Anthropology with a focus on teamwork and leadership in high-risk environments.

Formerly head of user research at Swisscom Innovation, the last 15 years has seen him leading high-performing teams and guiding strategic decision-making at the intersection of customer, strategy, and innovation.  He is an expert in societal trends, the adoption of technology, and aligning business culture with the purpose of radical, customer-driven innovation.  He spent 14 years in Alaska fishing on the Bering Sea and brings a hands-on approach to finding disruptive growth and driving organizational change.
