The University of Fribourg Receives the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education
The University of Fribourg has been awarded the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE). Through this recognition, the European Commission confirms the University’s high quality standards in the fields of international mobility and academic cooperation. The ECHE provides the essential framework for participation in Erasmus+ activities and highlights the University of Fribourg’s commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and international collaboration.
Should the Swiss Parliament approve Switzerland’s association to Erasmus+ for the 2027-2028 period in the coming weeks, students, lecturers, researchers, and staff will be able to benefit from a wide range of exchange and cooperation opportunities with partner institutions across Europe.
The awarding of this charter is a strong endorsement of the University’s international outlook and reinforces its role as an attractive partner within the European Higher Education Area.
