RIPE@2021 Conference

The RIPE@2021 Conference on the theme of “Public Service Media’s Contribution to Society” will take place online on September 27-28, 2021.

The conference will bring together scholars and public service media professionals from all over the world to critically discuss the concept of “contribution to society”. Working groups will focus on communication needs of changing societies, new forms of contribution and distinctiveness, involving citizens and building communities, as well as governance, communication and legitimacy management.

    In 2020, the RIPE initiative transformed into the International Association of Public Media Researchers (iaPMR). More information is available on the association’s website: https://www.publicmediaresearchers.org/

    The business meeting will introduce the new “International Association of Public Media Researchers” and the new leadership team, and explain how you can get involved. We look forward to seeing you there!

  • EBU Best Paper Award
    Thanks to the support of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), the EBU Best Paper Award for established scholars and the EBU Best Paper Award for emerging scholars have been established for the RIPE@2021 conference. The awards recognize excellent papers in public service media research.
    All papers that were submitted by the submission deadline are eligible.
    The winners of the awards will be announced during the closing plenary of the RIPE@2021 conference.
