Experimentation is central to the courses offered

The psychology curriculum presents an introduction to the scientific dimension of psychology as it relates to human experience and behavior. Students analyze motivational, emotional, cognitive and psychomotor processes that take place in a social and cultural context and that are in some ways linked to the biological nature of human beings.

The practice of psychology is grounded partly on scientific knowledge, but also on the empirical experience of psychologists. Students are required to compare actively their empirical findings with existing scientific data from psychological research.

Options for specialization

As early as the Master level, students have the opportunity to choose one of four options (cognitive neuroscience, clinical and health psychology, developmental and school psychology, and occupational and organizational psychology) which propose a theoretical deepening of the various fields. The emphasis is on acquiring methods, mastering scientific concepts, acquiring practical skills and applying them in various domains of activity (hospitals, companies, schools, institutions and research).
