Beschreibung	DESCRIPTION Online surveys are among the most frequently used data collection methods in social sciences. This practice-oriented seminar teaches the basics of survey design, providing insights from a practitioner’s point of view and covering the entire process from the initial concept to the presentation of the results. Hands-on exercises with an online survey tool will allow students to apply theoretical knowledge in practice. Besides best practices in survey design, concepts such as response behavior, measurement biases, and factors influencing participant engagement will be addressed in this seminar. ASSESSMENTS METHODS Continuous assessment DESCRIPTION OF EXAMS Students will plan and conduct an online survey on their own. The individual project phases (e.g. results presentation) and additional activities (e.g. short presentations) are evaluated. Regular attendance is required.
