Any recruitment procedure must respect the legally established requirement of non-discrimination. On the other hand, equal recruitment also respects a quality requirement, in the sense that practices and procedures are explicit and transparent. In the end, the aim is to recruit the most suitable person for the job.
With regard to the faculty call procedures, the Rectorate published recommendations in June 2020 to recognise and avoid unconscious bias and prejudice and to promote gender equality.
In addition, faculties are obliged under Article 10 para. 4 of the Regulations concerning professors to take "appropriate measures to ensure equality between women and men".
