Over the past decades particularly, technical advances revolutionized the possibilities at multiple levels of how "life" can be studied. While 30 years ago it took months to sequence a single gene, it is today possible to sequence entire genomes in few days. Currently, new imaging techniques enable us to see and visualize biological processes as they happen. In that context we have a strong commitment to provide an outstanding research environment in life sciences with strong dedication for excellent teaching.
