    Description

    In personnel selection, personality traits, abilities, and skills must be matched to the specific demands of a job. Psychologists have developed a range of tools to support this process and to predict occupational outcomes. This hands-on seminar introduces students to key steps in personnel selection, including job analysis, defining assessment dimensions and decision rules, and applying biographical, trait-based, and simulation methods. Using a concrete example, students will collaboratively plan and run an assessment center. In addition to these applied elements, the seminar includes theoretical  discussions on the strengths and limitations of assessment centers and the methods they employ.

     
    Objectifs de formation

    Overview over frequently used instruments including important evidence, knowing how to evaluate and choose selection tools and being able to apply them
