Mid-term conference of the LEGITIMULT project

The LEGITIMULT project team met last week in Ljubljana, Slovenia, for its mid-term conference. The Institute for Ethnic Studies (IES) welcomed the consortium for 2 days of discussion and reflection. Each partner presented its initial results, after more than a year's and half work.

This conference provided a great opportunity to strengthen the links between the different work packages being carried out by the 11 project partners. Numerous themes and central questions were addressed, including the effectiveness of socio-economic crisis measures and the ex-post parliamentary oversight of the executive's emergency actions.

The team also dedicated time to reflect on the second phase of the project: the transmission of results and analyses to practitioners. Preparations are currently in progress for an e-learning course.

The discussions of the findings of the work packages were inspiring and served us to identify the elements of a legitimate crisis governance. The LEGITIMULT project team will meet in person again for its closing conference next year in Belgium.
