The 10 ten Swiss UNESCO Chairs have met in Bern to strengthen their collaboration and learn more about each other’s activities. In a meeting set up by the Swiss UNESCO Commission, the Chairs presented their activities and key areas of work – ranging from Sustainable Tourism in World Heritage Sites to Water Governance to Comparative Education Policy. 
The University of Fribourg’s UNESCO Chair in Human Rights and Democracy is the oldest Swiss UNESCO Chair (established in 1998) and was represented by Co-Chairholder Prof Sarah Progin-Theuerkauf and Ms Delilah von Streng. They presented the Chair’s activities in the field of cultural rights as well as its projects related to state organization and multi-level governance. The Chair looks forward to further deepening its collaboration with fellow Swiss UNESCO Chairs!
