Dr.
I am the Academic Head of the International Research and Consulting Centre at the Institute of Federalism. As such, I oversee all of the international activities of the Institute, including our consultancy activities, our international training and capacity building events and our international research partnerships. I am responsible for the IRCC team, oversee its budget and am responsible for strategic planning and international (and Swiss) partnerships.
Biography
I am an internationally recognised scholar in the areas of federalism and decentralisation, conflict resolution and democratization. I have worked as an expert for several international organisations, governments and civil society organisations. I am a trained political scientist with more than 15 years of experience, and have authored and edited 11 books. Currently, I work as the Academic Head of the Institute of International Research and Consulting Centre at the Institute of Federalism, University of Fribourg, Switzerland. Before that, I was the Director of the Politics and International Relations programme at Canterbury Christ Church University in the United Kingdom.
