    Every summer and winter, the International Relations Office of the University of Fribourg organizes short stay programs welcoming international students from all backgrounds to spend one-three weeks on our campus. Gain your unique experience through exploring the culture, language(s), and high-quality teachings in the best seasons of Switzerland!

    Online February Winter School 2022: Monday 7th to Friday 11th 2022 (registration open!)

    Language: English

    BA/MA/PhD students with English proficiency, no prerequiste required

    The program starts with a common course of Switzerland in a nutshell. During the next three days, the participant select to join one of the two Winter Schools.

    Winter School 1:

    International Business, Innovation & Entrepreneurship

    This course explains the reasons that keep Switzerland on top of the Global Innovation

    Index; it introduces the entrepreneurship phenomenon and approaches towards it from different sectors. Participants will be teamed up for a group work.

    The course will also decode the basics in the operation of multinational corporations; explain what is marketing, the ingredients in the marketing mix, and its power across geographic boarders.

    Winter School 2:

    Python for Data Analytics & Machine Learning (1.5 ECTS*)

    Suitable for beginners, this course dives deep in three topics:

    • Introduction to Python for predictive modeling;
    • Unboxing the Machine Learning Algorithms in Python;
    • Deep Learning with Python

    Participants will gain hands-on experience throughout the course.

    *1.5 ECTS are issued upon full attendance and successful completion of the project work.

    The program wraps on the fifth day by gathering all participants, with a review of the week’s learning and highlights.
