A colloquium under this title took place on November 18 at the Study Center for Eastern Churches in collaboration with the “Faith and Order” commission of the World Council of Churches. The students from the Ecumenical Institute in Bossey, together with their dean, Prof. Benjamin Simon, and the students from the Institute for Orthodox Theology in Chambésy also took part.

During the colloquium short statements were presented, followed by a lively exchange within and with the audience. The speakers were Prof. Andrej Jeftic, director of the Faith and Order Commission, Geneva; Prof. Angela Berlis from the Institute of Old Catholic Theology, University of Bern; Dr Mihail Comănoiu, co-director of the Center for the Study of Eastern Churches at the University of Fribourg. Prof. Barbara Hallensleben, director of the Study Center, gave the introduction and moderated the event.
